Technical sales manaager


Our client is a well-respected, established and growing Engineering Design and Supplies company within the Agri/Food and Pharma sectors throughout Ireland.  Due to ongoing growth and demand, a superb opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Sales Manager to join the company.
This role will require the successful candidate to maintain relationships with existing customers and develop sales with new customers.
    • Develop sales throughout Ireland to existing and new customers.
    • Build and maintain relationships with existing customers.
    • Manage the design of bespoke solutions to customer’s needs.
    • Complete cost calculations for works.
    • Provide proposal and technical specification to customer.
    • Liaise with Supplier and Sub-contractors.
    • Coordinate program of installation projects.
    • Coordinate service contracts.
    • Complete and negotiate Tender applications for new works.
    • Oversee installations including scheduling of resources and completing necessary Risk assessments and Method Statements
    • Generate Technical Files for projects delivered.  
    • Maintain and develop relationships with suppliers.
    • Keep up to date with new/current products, competitor products, and be a “technical expert” in product areas
    • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Sales, Marketing and/or Engineering.
    • Previous experience in project management.
    • Excellent organisation & communication skills
    • Ability to read, understand and at times develop technical drawings.
    • Previous experience selling and track record in selling B2B.
    • Excellent sales and negotiation skills
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
    • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
    • Good computer skills, proficient with MS office applications
    • A full driving license.
A basic salary of E50,000 – E55,000 will be on offer.
In addition, a company car or car allowance will also be on offer along with an attractive commission structure.
This role will involve travel throughout both the North and South of Ireland and the successful candidate can work from home with no need to be in the office except for a monthly meeting with the MD therefore location is totally flexible.
