Technical Manager FMCG –Coleraine
Opportunity has arisen for perhaps a Quality Manager from FMCG sector to take on a more rounded management role in a company with an excellent support structure in place and an ethos of doing right even ‘when no one is looking’. Ideal opportunity for someone wanting to maintain “good practice” in every action throughout the factory.
To promote a consistent customer orientated focus from the entire technical function, ensuring product standards and onsite practices meet customer and legislative requirements. To lead the site’s technical function and ensure site is prepared for audits (both announced and unannounced).
- Ensure compliance with food safety and legal requirements
- Management and review the food safety and quality manual and all related procedures to meet all legislation, certification and customer requirements. Ensure effective communication of changes.
- Ensure the implement and co-ordinate HACCP and FSQM on the site, ensuring documentation is kept up to date and regularly reviewed
- Proactively improve/ design KPIs, PIPs to seek and drive improvement
- Represent quality function on projects and continuous improvement programmes on site. This may include involvement in scoping, developing or implementing cross-functional projects.
- Oversee and manage new product and customer launches
- Ensure compliance with relevant company policies and procedures and participate in investigations/disciplinary meetings as required.
- Take reasonable care for the health and safety of self and others, ensuring compliance with safety regulations in area of responsibility, in line with all relevant Health and Safety legislation.
