Sustainability Manager

We continue to work with this key client, an FMCG manufacturing business who is keen to appoint a Sustainability Manager within the business. This is a key role and the post-holder will be responsible for overseeing the environmental sustainability performance of the groups UK operations, including developing, implementing and monitoring integrated environmental and sustainability strategies.
The Role:
Based at the Co. Down site, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the company is compliant with all legislative requirements for environmental management
- Promoting a culture of environmental awareness across the business
- Managing the environmental management systems and PPC licence both in NI and other UK site
- Designing and implementing efficient systems, policies and procedures
The Person:
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) ideally with an environmental management qualification
- Proven experience of working in a similar role within Environmental Management/Regulation
- Strong knowledge and working experience of Environmental Regulations
- Experience within an FMCG food/drinks manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of PPC(IE) licence would be advantageous
- Excellent IT skills and experience in using an Environmental Management System
- Good project management skills with proven experience in developing and implementing waste minimisation plans and programs – would be a distinct advantage
