Role Overview
Experienced Install and Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, mechanical setup, and commissioning of conveyor systems at customer sites. This role requires hands-on engineering skills, the ability to work independently, and a flexible approach to travel and working away from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Install conveyor systems of all types, including mechanical setup, alignment, and adjustments.
- Commission systems in collaboration with the companies electrical engineers.
- Conduct performance testing, troubleshooting, and final handover to clients.
- Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documentation, and site records.
- Work safely and efficiently on-site, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Travel regularly and work away from home as required.
- Support junior engineers and apprentices when required.
Essential Criteria
- Ideally – Proven experience in the conveyor, materials handling, or related mechanical industry.
- Hands-on experience installing and commissioning industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical skills with the ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Practical problem-solving skills on site.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with electrical engineers and project teams.
- Flexibility to travel and work away from home.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience with automated systems or factory automation equipment.
- Previous exposure to international or large-scale installation projects.
- Mechanical or engineering qualification.
