Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Our client, a successful electrical Switchgear and Controls business based in Mid Ulster require an enthusiastic and experienced Electrical Design Engineer (Switchgear) to join their team. The role will be based in the new manufacturing facility in the Dungannon area.
The Role:
The company specialises in low voltage switchgear, motor control and automation systems for Industry, Materials Handling and critical power. Working with prestige businesses in the UK and globally, the company provides a quality design, manufacturing, installation, build and maintenance service. Specific duties will include:
- Developing drawings and document sets for low voltage switchgear products
- Preparing detailed electrical schematics and general arrangement drawings
- Preparing Bills of Materials
- Electrical engineering with a bias towards switchgear and motor control systems
The Person:
Suitable applicants will have:
- An electrical engineering background, with a solid understanding of AutoCAD and bespoke design electrical design packages
- Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or similar – candidates with excellent industrial and technical background may also be considered
- Knowledge of Modular Steel Work Systems eg Cubic, Elsteel etc
- Knowledge of Schneider and ABB range of LV Products
- Confident in LV design and manufacture of switchgear up to 6300Amps
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical or similar electrical design software
- Experience with 2D and/or 3D software
The Benefits:
- Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 per annum
- Working Mon-Thurs 8.00am – 5pm, Fri 8.00am – 4.00pm (some flexibility possible)
