Ideal opportunity for a Senior Design Engineer looking to move into a role with a forward-thinking organisation which has established a reputation of quality, trust and integrity. Our client is a successful manufacturer of heavy plant and equipment, dominant across a number of global markets. Due to continued growth and a further £5m factory investment, they are now seeking to fill this role.
The Role:
Reporting to the NPD Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for design from inception through to production in new product development. You will work in collaboration with other engineers and across cross functional teams.
- Develop conceptual and final design solutions
- Manage and co-ordinate project activities
- Support existing product offerings
- Perform testing/analysis of new and existing products
The Person:
Ideal candidates:
- Degree qualified in mechanical, agriculture, industrial engineer or mechatronics
- At least 5 years’ experience in equipment design and manufacturing
- Managing projects from inception to completion
- Innovative with excellent problem solving ability
- Excellent IT skills – MS Office; 3D CAD (eg SolidWorks); ERP systems
- Good understanding/experience in engineering design process and new product development
