PROJECT ENGINEER – SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS
Our client has facilities in Fermanagh and the North of Scotland. Opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to cover the Scottish market in N of Scotland. Reporting to the Customer Engineering Manager, you will provide remote and on-site support to our customers across the UK and Ireland. Company Vehicle provided.
Purpose of the Job:
As a member of the Customer Engineering Team, the Project Engineer will play a key role in delivering practical engineering solutions that support carbon-neutral initiatives for both new and existing clients.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to proactively identify and address potential challenges, optimise processes, and improve system performance across our portfolio of industrial biomass steam boilers.
Key Skills & Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; planning & organizing;
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering subject – in place of a degree (HNC/HND) or equivalent qualification with a strong technical background and demonstrated relevant experience
- Proven experience in a maintenance/reliability role, preferably within a relevant industry. Experience in delivering field service & support
- Experience in troubleshooting customer problems and acting as a point of contact for customer queries
- As a customer facing member of the team, have the ability to develop constructive relationships with customers/Installers/own team.
- Full UK driving License.
- Expected to travel and stay away from home on occasion- As business requires but usually based in the Scottish Highlands and islands
Desirable:
- Experience of steam boilers and/ or wood pellet biomass systems – in particular boiler servicing/breakdown repair and storage/fuel feed systems
