• Ensure the departments are run efficiently and effectively in line with customer needs, best practice, site standards and procedures, relevant legislation and are audit-ready at all times.
• Encourage, support, coach & develop employees to represent and lead their area/function effectively and the broader business.
• Provide leadership and direction as required to all aspects of manufacturing operations at the  site including health, environmental, quality assurance, manufacturing, engineering and associated operations.
• Analyse, collate and review performance data, constantly striving to improve efficiency, yield and performance.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to develop production plans to deliver the business objectives in terms of production volumes, manufacturing controlled costs, quality and health and safety requirements ensuring both group and site needs are addressed.   
• Deputise for Head of Site Operations as and when required.
• Support and lead the promotion of a continuous improvement culture across the site through lean manufacturing principles.

 

The Person

 

• A proven track record in manufacturing operations increasing productivity and efficiency.
• A strong leader with people management experience and preferably FMCG but not essential
