Experienced Maintenance Engineer/Supervisor, DAYS, E Belfast
Are you an experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, looking to step up to a days supervisory role based in E Belfast? TechMet are proudly working in partnership with our client, an award-winning company with an excellent reputation within the food industry in NI. This is an ideal role for someone with perhaps experience of managing a small Maintenance Team, who wants to join a company where work/life balance is valued and your contributions will be recognized and rewarded.
Duties will include:
- Develop a computerised maintenance management system and analysis of downtime reports to plan ad hoc maintenance where required
- Take the lead in and manage the delivery of improvement projects within Engineering budget
- Lead the team of 3 Engineers by example – developing and training your team of engineers.
- Responsible for, and be point of contact for, all facilities work (internal and external contractors) including plumbing, heating, air conditioning, electrical works)
- Suggest improvement ideas and take the lead in problem solving.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience working as an Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- NVQ Level 3 or Time served Electrical & Mechanical Engineer
- Knowledge of Pneumatics, Automation, Conveyors, PLCs, Controllers.
- Self-managing with good organisational skills
- Can demonstrate ability to lead change programs.
Desirable Criteria:
- 3 years supervisory experience and must be a “peoples person” to suit the culture
- Experience of welding, plumbing and automation
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment working to BRC standards
