MAINTENANCE ENGINEER – DAY/EVENING
We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for our client, a family-run FMCG business in Co Armagh. The ideal Engineer will possess a strong ability to help sustain and continuously improve all machinery within the Production environment.
Reporting to the Maintenance Engineer, you will undertake planned maintenance, breakdowns, repairs, refurbishment, installation, modification and improvements to the plant and its services to minimise downtime and maintain the equipment throughout their site.
Details of the role:
- Planning and undertaking of scheduled maintenance
- Responding to machinery breakdowns
- Diagnosing and repairing machinery faults
- Completing maintenance audits
- Assisting in the creation of maintenance procedures
- Control of tools, stores and equipment
- Assisting in the management of stock supplies and equipment
The Person we need:
- Electrical/mechanical qualified with time served and 2 years’ experience within an FMCG environment, ideally food production
- The ability to problem solve, work well under pressure with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Strong planning, organisation and communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- The ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- The ability to complete both written and computerised records
- welding experience also desirable
- Flexibility to meet the requirements of the business – some overtime as well as week-end working as per rota
