MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN, BELFAST- days role
Monday to Friday days role 8AM TO 5PM
We have a great opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service at our client’s site in Belfast. In this role, the successful candidate will need to carry out planned, predictive and reactive maintenance tasks in line with safety and quality standards, to ensure the long term maximum utilisation of the production plant and its compliance with statutory legal requirements. Very little engineers turnover in the business and household brand.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Contribute to continual improvement of the plant, processes and working environment through generating and implementing improvements and working collaboratively across departments/sites.
- Assist with monitoring external contractors on site, ensuring familiarisation with site rules.
- Carry out daily monitoring inspections and self-audits in each area of the plant on a weekly rota
- Using the CMMS (Maximo) system, ensuring labour and material expended are recorded and PPM/PdM are carried out for all areas of the site.
- Participate in the efficient running of the maintenance department, including; housekeeping, planning of work, use of tools and control of spare parts and materials.
- Participate in the call out program for maintenance faults.
- Analyse and rectify plant/process defects in a timely manner using RCA where applicable
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
- A recognised engineering apprenticeship, with a formal qualification and decent electrical bias but 50/50 electrical / mechanical engineers welcome to apply.
- Experience as a maintenance engineer in an operational environment preferably FMCG, Food or drink (desirable).
- Experience of industrial 3 phase motor and control systems and their interaction with modern PLC systems.
- Health and Safety & Food Safety awareness (essential).
- Computer literate (essential).
- Experience of a plant with pneumatic control and operation and common industrial bearing systems.
Engineers may be required to be on call 1/ 4 or 1 week in 5 and there could be a couple of calls required for this week period of
