Our client, part of a highly successful, diversified group of international agri-businesses in Northern Ireland, is looking to recruit an experienced Maintenance Electrician to work Day Shift (Mon – Fri).   
 
The Role:
The successful candidate will work as part of a close knit ream and will have ample opportunity to learn, grow and develop as a £multi-million investment project is underway at the site.    You will provide assistance with planned maintenance, fault finding and breakdown repairs, including:
  • Day to day electrical maintenance & fault finding/repairs – PLCs (SCADA) motors, broken/damaged cables etc.
  • Have a good mechanical knowledge – aligning elevators, chain and belt conveyors, dust filtration units etc
  • Assist with the installation of new equipment
  • Maintain accurate records and complete in-depth handovers
 
The Person:
Ideal candidates will:
  • Have completed an approved apprenticeship with the relevant Level 3 Mech/Elec or Electrical qualification.
  • Have at least 5 years’ post apprenticeship experience in a mechanical and/or electrical hands-on maintenance or engineering role
  • Experienced in fault-finding and repair of PLCs, safety circuits, control circuits, SCADA controlled equipment, variable speed drives etc.
  • Have experience and knowledge of electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
 
Benefits:
  • Hours: Day shift only! Mon – Thurs 0800 – 1700 and 0800 – 1600 Friday (39 hrs/week)
  • Attractive salary and premium overtime rates – earnings mid £40s very achievable!
  • Some weekend working – but not every weekend and only to provide holiday cover etc.
  • Attractive bonuses paid 3 times per year
