Field Sales Engineer – Co Antrim
Reporting to the General Manager & supported by an internal team, the duties of the Field Sales Engineer would be:
  • Your primary focus and responsibility for sales will be the company’s conventional metal cutting and metal forming machine tools – and company consumable and accessory products.  i.e.;
      • Entry level press brakes, ironworkers, saws, mills, lathes, grinders, band saws, tool room related equipment and accessories.  
      • Folding machines – e.g. Cidan, Jorns.
      • Waterjet machines.
      • Construction equipment, saw/drilling lines with support from responsible product manager.
      • Consumable band saw blades, press brake and punch tooling.
  • Your secondary focus will be on obtaining enquiries for high-end CNC fabrication equipment and passing these enquiries to our General Manager and working with our General Manager on successful sales of related equipment.
  • Third focus will be obtaining enquiries for CNC metal cutting equipment and passing these enquiries to our CNC Metal Cutting Sales Representative for follow up.
  • Other duties will inc: monthly band saw blade counts at customer premises in order to restock Kanban stock.  Growing our market share in band saw blades & identifying new and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Visiting existing and new customers throughout NI in order to maintain relationships & establish new relationships, generating sales leads for the complete range of machine tools provided by the company;
  • Issuing quotations, follow up, negotiating & closing sales (with support from GM & internal team);
  • Updating customer information and sales leads in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software;
  • Meeting regular sales targets within specified product ranges;
  • Attending weekly meetings & reporting activity (visits / leads / sales, etc.);
  • Supporting marketing through email, print & other digital means;
  • Attendance at overseas Trade shows / factory tours / events as customer liaison or for training / professional development; Note that this role is primarily based “on the road”.  Company car, mobile phone and laptop will be provided for the purposes of fulfilment of the role.
