Opportunirty has arisen for a Engineering Stores Support individual to join a business with an annual revenue of over 3 billion.  Based at one of the best run Manufacturing facilities in N. Ireland, the ethos is one whereby you will help to improve the overall Production efficiciency within the manufacturing process and mainly within the Engineering Function.  Site based in Newtownards.  

 

 Key Summary –  Maintaining the  stock of fast moving Engineering related  items  based in a very well run factory in  Newtownards;   you will operate buring office hours in a Monday to Friday cappacity.  

 

Duties

 

• Providing accurate quotes to the plant within  extensive range of parts/products, required for the customer to operate most efficiently.
• Resolving day to day enquiries mainly with Engineering team
• Part sourcing and dealing with suppliers
• Process and manage orders from initial enquiry to delivery
• Ensure that purchase orders are loaded onto the site system(s), and that goods, materials and services are  expedited to meet service delivery requirements.
• Create and maintain efficient management reports.
• Negotiate with suppliers; manage supplier relationships..
• Maintain inventory control data within the ERP system(s).
• Contribute to continuous improvement processes

 

Ideally candidates have following background-  

• Good product range knowledge for MRO and engineering consumables would be ideal plus good sales and customer relationship development skills
• Some  negotiating and purchasing skills would be useful
• Methodical and well organised, with the ability to work well as part of a team within a fast-moving environment plus ideally knowledge of the stock management systems
