You will be part of a combined and integrated team working alongside expert Software and Design Engineers, involved in a rich and challenging variety of projects using state of the art, newly developed technology. You will develop & design electrical solutions for specialist equipment for the medical devices/FMCG industry, many of the bespoke automation projects in excess of £1m.
Key duties will include:
- Electrical design and provision of technical guidance
- Service support, Commissioning, On-site Installation and Customer Acceptance
- Research and development of new electrical systems and projects
- Create design documentation
- Liaise with other departments/sub-contractors to co-ordinate on projects
You will need:
- An HND/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with at least 3+ years’ experience of working in a high tech manufacturing environment
- Good experience of electrical design, commissioning and support – preferably in a machine building environment
- Good PLC knowledge
- AutoCAD experience
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical control systems legislation
This role will suit an Engineer who can naturally take responsibility during a “cradle to grave” project and be truly capable of affecting and driving projects. An Engineer who is looking to make impact by innovating and problem solving as opposed to simply making “minor design changes” will be the candidate of choice.
