Project Design Engineer
Are you a solidworks Project Design Engineer perhaps looking for a more varied design role and away from the quarry/ screening or the larger manufacturing environment and into a small niche sector?
- 4 day week

Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the Design and R&D for our range of equipment, along with testing new product prototypes, you will design and drive your personal, professional and technical development plan.
- You will get to know our clients and help us to improve our existing products, alongside the development of new lines – applying your knowledge of production processes, fabrication, materials, cost build-up and job costing.
- Working closely with the Sales and Manufacturing teams, you will ensure smooth flow of new products from Engineering into Production.
- Visiting client sites you will be involved in assembly, installation and service to provide full customer support.

Candidate Qualifications & Experience:
- A 3rd-level Engineering Qualification (HND/ HNC or Degree) or extensive related industry experience, with at least 3 years’ experience in an engineering environment
- Solidworks or similar CAD experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing methods & procedures
- Willing and able to travel to customer sites both nationally and internationally
- Excellent analytical, numerical and data analysis skills
Desirable criteria:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a design/ project engineering role
- Knowledge of fluid power circuit design, pump system design and electrical circuit design
- Hands-on experience with mechanical equipment, with an ability and willingness to build and test products as part of a dynamic technical team.
- Experience managing deadlines and demands on your time and input
- A track record of striving for quality and excellence
