Excellent opportunity for someone from the Oil Rig/Offshore/Mining industry who is looking to relocate back home to Belfast!
Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Contract Manager with a mechanical/piping background to work within the industrial and utilities sector.
The Role:
Based from Belfast and reporting to the Contracts Director the post-holder will be responsible for:
- Managing mechanical and piping contracts from inception to successful completion and handover
- Supporting preparation of contract quotations, preparing material take-offs and obtaining prices from suppliers
- Preparing Risk Assessments and task specific Method Statements
- Procuring equipment, materials and plant hire
- Liaising with in-house tradespersons, supervisors and sub-contractors
- Managing shop pipework fabrication, QA/Testing, Painting and Despatch to site
- Preparing handover documentation
The Person:
- Mechanical engineering degree or other relevant qualification
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on industrial contracts or engineering construction
- Experience of fabrication, QA and installation of piping systems – ideal
- H&S qualification would be beneficial
