Bagging and Dispatch Manager role

Opportunity has arisen for an immediately appointment and will appeal to someone ideally from the FMCG sector.    The Dispatch Manger is responsible for overseeing end-of-line operations, including bagging, labelling, storage and dispatch, while maintaining product quality and food safety standards. The role involves leading a team of 8   and coordinating with logistics, quality control and production.
Key Responsibilities will include:
    • Supervise the bagging of  products ensuring accuracy and hygiene.
    • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance to minimize downtime.
    • Ensure correct labelling, weight, and packaging specifications are met.
    • Plan and manage daily dispatch schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
    • Coordinate with transport providers and warehouse teams for smooth outbound logistics.
    • Maintain dispatch documentation including delivery notes, invoices, and transport logs.
 
The Person
    • Strong experience as a Supervisor/Manager from within a food manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
    • Possess a real passion for teamwork and continuous improvement.
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages.
    • A sound understanding of Health and Safety principles and practices.
    • Experience from within the Dairy industry and/or a 3rd level relevant qualification would be advantageous.
 
Role will be offered as a 18 month long  position
